Holiday greetings: scheduling a swap
Make a holiday greeting in the same voice as your main one, for $9 or 1 credit. Then set your phone system to play it on the holiday. Many business phone systems let you schedule holiday hours with their own greeting, so it switches on and back off by itself. On a cell phone, you swap it by hand.

Say which days you're closed, when you'll be back, and where callers can get help in the meantime. When you're signed in, My Greetings offers a holiday greeting in the same voice before each major US holiday.
A phone tree pack can also include a holiday greeting as one of its prompts.
How do I schedule it on my phone system?
- Upload the holiday greeting next to your main greeting. Don't replace the main one.
- Add the holiday dates to your system's holiday or closed-hours schedule, and pick the holiday greeting for them.
- Check the time zone, and that the schedule ends when you reopen.
- Call your line on the day to make sure it's playing. See how to test your greeting.
What about a cell phone?
Cell phone voicemail has no schedule. Record the holiday greeting with the play-and-record method before you close, then record your usual greeting again when you're back. Keep your usual MP3 handy so switching back is quick.
