Acceptable Use Policy
Voice Greeting Studio makes greetings for your own business phone lines. This policy lists what you can't use it for. It's part of our Terms of Service.
Updated September 29, 2026 Draft for attorney review
No impersonation
- Don't make a greeting that pretends to be, or to speak for, a real person, business or organization you don't represent.
- Don't use another business's name or trademarks in a way that could make callers think they've reached that business.
- Don't ask for a celebrity voice, a soundalike, or an imitation of any real person. We don't clone voices, and we refuse these requests.
- Don't present a synthetic voice as a real person who didn't record it.
No harmful or deceptive content
- Nothing deceptive or misleading, such as fake emergencies, false claims about who is speaking, or scams.
- Nothing threatening, harassing, defamatory or hateful.
- Nothing sexually explicit.
- Nothing that infringes someone else's rights, is illegal, or helps someone break the law.
No unlawful robocalls or telemarketing
Our greetings are made for people who call you. Don't use our audio or voices in outbound robocalls or telemarketing that break the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the FCC's rules or any similar law.
The FCC treats an AI-generated voice in a call as an artificial voice under the TCPA. That generally means you need the called person's prior express consent before placing that kind of call. You're responsible for following every calling law that applies to you, including any required call-recording notices.
No misuse of the service
- Don't get around free-preview limits, security checks or watermarks, or use bots, scrapers or other automated tools on the site.
- Don't use our audio, voices or music to train or build voice or music models.
- Don't resell greetings, voices or music, or distribute them on their own, for example as stock audio.
- Don't reverse engineer the service, overload it, or interfere with other people's use of it.
You're responsible for your greetings
You're responsible for what your greetings say and how you use them. Make sure the business details, hours, phone numbers and any promises in your greeting are true.
What we can do
We may refuse to write or voice a script, block certain names or words, remove audio, refund an order, or close an account that breaks this policy.
If you see our audio being misused, email support@voicegreetingstudio.com.
